Silva Brand has been working with film and video for more than 20 years. We started with hand-cranked Bolexes using 16mm film and today shoot with the most sophisticated HDSLRs. Along the way, we’ve made corporate films, major tribute videos, product commercials, music videos which have played on MTV and Rolling Stone, and a couple of feature films which have received kudos from the Art Institute of Chicago and Screen Magazine.

Corridors North Video Tour

The launch of a 1.5 million SF office campus requires marketing at the highest level. Traditional sales sheets and static websites don’t cut it. For the new Corridors North development, we designed a high-octane video tour that told the story of the development, showcased the location and connected it to the millennial economy — all in 90 seconds.

The Alter Way

Alter’s stunning new brand demanded video content which would match its Madison-Avenue quality. Working with the latest in the Canon series of HD cameras, we created a new flagship video featuring President Michael Alter which told the story of his family, his firm and the future of Alter.

The Vision Thing

When you’re trying to distill the vision of a company, it requires purpose and poetry. We worked with EVP, Richard Gatto, to create a mini movie that articulated how a client’s vision becomes a tangible reality.  This meant not only understanding corporate strategy but contextualizing within all the corporate and cultural trends which have shifted the way we work – from co-working to mass transit to new urbanism.

Workplaces are Lifeplaces

“The world is changing,” are the first words of this video. In order to distill the millennial generation and the revolution in workplace design, we wrote this 3 minute film to feel like we the inner thoughts of a leading design and construction expert. Shot on location in downtown Chicago and in some of the most stunning corporate spaces in the city, the film dramatizes the bold new Alter brand idea that “workplaces are lifeplaces”.

Every building has to embody the brand of its tenant. This is the subject of this stylish corporate video which mixes images of high fashion, consumer goods, and real estate to show us how the mission and vision of every company needs to be communicated through the built environment.

Client testimonials don’t have to be boring. To get across the flair of one of the country’s technology superstars, we created a video that employed rock music, jump cutting and a gorgeous film look that felt more MTV than corporate.

Corporate Video: The Alter Group

When a company wins the biggest prize in the industry, they want to preserve it on film. On the occasion of winning National Developer of the Year, The Alter Group commissioned a special video to be shown to a room of 1,000 industry mavens. We shot the video on HD using steadicams and dollies that brought movement to the interviews with CEOs and clients.

Corporate Video: Alter+Care

 

How do you squeeze ObamaCare, the Balanced Budget Act and the entire medical sector into a minute and a half? When Alter+Care launched a new brand, we created a dramatic video narrative that put the client’s concerns first before the company’s story. Mixing archival footage and photography with custom video, the video creates drama and resolution around the challenges of our national healthcare system.

To chronicle the success of a flagship office building in North Carolina, we didn’t want the usual cavalcade of handshakes and high fives. Instead, we made it a narrative, starting with the first phone call and ending with the spectacular grand opening. Poring through hours of video and stacks of photography, we found the right images that could give the narrative drama and tension.

Building Tour: EnTrust Tenant Advisors

When a brokerage company wanted to showcase a major new listing, it engaged Silva Brand to film a 60 second promo. Using the Blackmagic Cinema camera and a customized steadicam, we created a fly-through that showed you everything from glass curtain walls to pool rooms to conference centers to cafeterias and kitchens.
