CCIM Institute

CCIM Institute

 CCIM INSTITUTE REBRAND On its 50th Anniversary, CCIM needed a rebrand that would raise the stature of its designation as well as promote the benefits of Continuing Ed and Membership. To create a powerful new messaging and visual platform, the organization engaged Silva Brand to guide the transformation of the CCIM brand, and to build greater customer experiences for its members, partners, and industry professionals. 50th Anniversary Catalog The first critical piece that Silva Brand produced was an 80-page Course Catalog that would be its signature marketing piece for its Anniversary year. Working with CCIM staff, we completely restructured the book, commissioned new photography and custom infographics; rewrote a significant amount of the copy to better reflect the current state of the industry and spec’d a perfect-bound, soft-touch UV-coating for the book. 50th Anniversary National Ad Campaign We designed and copywrote the new 50th Anniversary ads, employing a luxury goods design aesthetic with saturated colors and elegant text boxes to showcase the CCIM pin as a symbol of excellence. Global Conference Rebrand To draw more millennial and international executives, we rebranded the CCIM Global Conference with a bold new image that leveraged duotone imagery, oversized fonts and portraits that mixed wit with a cosmopolitan flair. Trade Show Booth Silva Brand designed a new trade show booth for the world’s largest real estate conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Featuring a custom sizzle video, image walls and interactive displays, the new installation hosted thousands of current and prospective members over the course of a week. National Report Working with CCIM’s new Chief Economist, KC Conway, Silva Brand concepted, researched,...
20 West Kinzie

20 West Kinzie

 20 West Kinzie After 15 years, Dearborn Plaza, a Class A building in downtown Chicago had become as weathered and worn as the banners that stood on the sidewalk outside. When its lead tenant, Google announced it was leaving, the time was ripe for a refresh. Recognizing that its marquee River North location was the key to its status, we renamed the building 20 West Kinzie with a new logo mark and contemporary colors which spoke to the tech and FIRE sectors equally. To attract a new high flier to the building, we launched a large-wingspan interactive site that promoted the area as much as the infrastructure. Using the conventions of social media channels and reader-review hubs like Yelp, the new 20westkinzie.com allows users to search not only floor plans and elevations but new restaurants, galleries and must sees in River North. It worked. 60 days after its launch, two leading internet startups inked deals in the building with options...

Cornerstone

k Cornerstone When you’ve worked on something for 30 years, it needs a special kind of launch.  At 641 acres, Cornerstone in the heart of Lake County, Illinois, is a new model for sustainable development with more than 4 million SF of places to work and live richly.  Working with the development team, Silva Brand created a brochure that was equal parts poetry and power.  The website extended the sumptuous, simple brandscape with widescreen photos and oversized copy to put across the Cornerstone vision of home and heart. EnTrust Realty Advisors

EnTrust Realty Advisors

j EnTrust Realty Advisors 2002 was a rough year: Arthur Andersen went belly up, Enron was outed, and the dot-com bubble burst. It was then that Jim Clark, President of Transwestern Investments wanted to establish a company based on the principles of integrity, relationships and results. We named it EnTrust and helped write the strategy—a fiduciary-level investment advisory firm to serve institutional and private investors. Ten years later, the EnTrust brand is still fresh across all its touchpoints, from web to eblasts to print. As a matter of fact, we’ve since branded two more subsidiaries under the EnTrust brand. Along the way, the company completed $1 billion in investment transactions and $200 million in...
“We Develop Relationships” Ad Campaign

“We Develop Relationships” Ad Campaign

 “We Develop Relationships” Ad Campaign The boom era of the late ’90’s and early 2000’s encouraged a “build it and they will come” approach to real estate. Tenants were interchangeable and messaging highlighted the product over the person. The Alter Group wanted to pull away from the pack. Working with the executive team, we concepted an ad campaign that would be emotional, instinctive and place the people behind the deal at centerstage. Using our slogan “we develop relationships,” the ads were designed by Chicago-based Incognito Design and featured portraits of cherished clients and colleagues by fashion photographer, Ken France. We were flattered when a major REIT borrowed our concept for their ad campaign the...
